SFRD

The Superior Group was founded on the dream of contributing to an economically superior Pakistan. TSG has made a lasting impact across a plethora of social and developmental avenues. One of the proudest achievements of the group is the foundation of the Superior Foundation for Research & Development. The Superior Foundation for Research and Development (SFRD) is a registered non-profitable and non-political foundation. Back in 2010, the SFRD was launched to facilitate the provision of key knowledge tools, support and participate in research initiatives, and contribute to social developmental projects while ensuring the participation of all relevant stakeholders. The Foundation’s operations have grown over the last decade or two to include a clear mandate for policy advocacy, community development and evidence gathering.

“Help one another in acts of piety and righteousness.” (Quran 5:2)

With a revived focus on the entrepreneurial aspect of the economic developmental modules, the SFRD is now committed to promoting entrepreneurial culture keeping given the local economic, social, political, and geographical circumstances of the people. Gender Equality is one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and this blog is all about it and what SFRD is doing to achieve this goal. There is a special program with the name of Her Karobar that is specifically associated with the empowerment of women on different platforms of life. Women Entrepreneurship Program is designed to provide a platform for women to enable and empower them so that they can increase their presence in the business workforce, and self-owned businesses with the help of trainers for education, mentors to identify the right path, investment and funding opportunities for growth and globalization for the global network access. It is also offering a lot of scholarships for the female students of our university

In all parts of the world, women are facing threats to their lives, health and well-being as a result of being overburdened with work and of their lack of power and influence. The right to education is one of the most important means of empowering women with knowledge, skills and self-confidence which is necessary to participate fully in the development process. It enables women to respond to opportunities to challenge their traditional roles and change their life circumstances. The empowerment and autonomy of women is a highly important end in itself. In addition, it is essential for the achievement of sustainable development.

Her Karobar is designed to provide a platform for women to enable and empower them so that they can increase their presence in the business workforce, and self-owned businesses with the help of trainers for education, mentors to identify the right path, investment and funding opportunities for growth and globalization for the global network access. Women entrepreneurs can bring a lot of diversity to the business environment as they have the knack for doing things differently. They are also quite perfectionists and dynamic. Women tend to plan and proceed so they can save the time and money of the business as everything works according to a schedule. Enlightening women about the entrepreneurial revolution ultimately results in a socio-economic shift across the country.

Her Karobar is premised on the theory of empowering Pakistan’s women, who make up 52 per cent of the population. Women in need of true economic transformation became a part of Her Karobar. In the year 2021, a professional career development boot camp with a Mentor Matching activity was also held. This entire effort resulted in the creation of a unique one-stop shop with services such as training from notable entrepreneurs and initial capital of Rs. 1.5 million. Apart from that, consulting services were offered, business ideas were produced (from faultless planning to process design for scaling up a business), and much more occurred.

Her Karobar Offerings:

1.         Women Entrepreneurship Boot Camp

2.         Technical Skills Courses

3.         Empower Girls Soft Skills Session

4.         Professional Career Building Boot Camp

5.         Mentor Matching Program

In Islam, there is absolutely no difference between men and women as far as their relationship to Allah is concerned, as both are promised the same reward for good conduct and the same punishment for evil conduct. The Qur’an says:

And for women are rights over men similar to those of men over women. (2:226)

In Pakistan, the economic empowerment of women helps in reducing many socio-economic problems in our society. It has been observed that over time, women are changing their priorities due to the increasing rate of literacy, new inventions and the trend of migration to urban areas and empowering women is essential to the health and social development of families, communities and countries.
